For me it depends on the source of the Cantonese dub.
I tend to find that Animax dubs are poorer in both Sound Quality and acting compared to ATV and TVB (J2) Dubs.

The Original Japanese dub is fine in general, since I tend to end up watching the Japanese release first before I watch the Cantonese release.

But some anime, Like Nintama Rantarou, Crayon Shin Chan, Kimengumi, Doraemon, Evangelion, Nadia, etc, Cantonese dub easily surpasses the original.

Then there are shows where I find them to be equal, like FMA Brotherhood and Attack on Titan and Gintama.
