Personally I enjoyed the Original Cantonese dub of Hunter X Hunter.
The new dub isn't bad, its just that I associate Gon's Voice actor with Workings! Inami.
That said I enjoyed both, One being darker than the other.

The Japanese dub isn't bad, but since I watched Hunter X Hunter in Cantonese first I find I prefer Cantonese over Japanese.
I also just enjoy hearing Nen Training being explained in Cantonese more than Japanese.
